Quarterly Listing

Previous Top Next

This report is a generic report showing the wage, state withholding, and state unemployment information for the selected quarter.

The format of this report is acceptable by many states, for reporting quarterly earnings and withholding.

If the format does not work for your state, the figures can be used to prepare your state forms, usually through an online system provided by your state.

Federal Taxable Wages

Total earnings, less Section 125 and Cafeteria.

This is the same method used to obtain the Form W-2 Box 1 'wages' figure.

Employees marked as exempt from FWH will still have federal taxable wages.

Exempting from FWH only turns off their FWH calculation so they do not nave federal income tax withheld.

Retirement

Employee contributions, via a paycheck deduction, to their retirement plan.

State Taxable Wages

If employee's State Tax Calculation is not PA, Federal Taxable Wages less Retirement contributions.

If employee's State Tax Calculation is PA, Federal Taxable Wages.

PA taxes retirement contributions, so retirement is included in State Taxable Wages.

Employees marked as exempt from SWH will still have state taxable wages.

Exempting from SWH only turns off their SWH calculation so they do not nave state income tax withheld.

State Tax Withheld

The amount withheld from the employee paychecks.

SUTA Taxable Wages

The amount of wages subject to state unemployment.

The annual limit of subject wages is set on the Setup screen, in the Employer Paid Taxes section.

If the employee has been marked as exempt from state unemployment, 'EXEMPT' will be printed instead of a dollar amount.

SUTA Excess Wages

If employee has not been marked as exempt from state unemployment, the amount of wages over the annual limit.

Total Paid

If using a Section 125, Section 132, and/or Cafeteria income adjustment, this column will print, and show the gross wages plus the Section 125 and Cafeteria contributions.

Professional Edition

If there are shareholder employees reporting S Corp Insurance, Taxable Wages may include the reported insurance amount.
