Reports

Reports can be printed or reprinted at any time.

Reports always reflect the employee and paycheck date available at the moment the report is printed.

After adding, editing, or deleting checks, be certain you print reports covering the time frame you were working with.

Medlin Payroll Software does not lock or restrict the ability to edit paychecks, even after reports have been prepared.

This is a powerful feature, but does require caution when used.

If the figures on your reports are not what you expect

Print a Paycheck Listing for the entire year.

Review all checks for the year.

Add any missing checks, delete any extra checks, edit any incorrect checks.

The date of the check - the first day the employee could have accessed the funds, known as 'constructive receipt' - determines the tax liability.

When the money was earned is not considered for payroll tax liability.

For example, if a check is dated January 1, the check is part of January, even if the money was 'earned' in December.

The stub is sent as a PDF attachment to an e-mail message.

E-Mailing a pay stub may not meet your state's regulations.
