Find Data

Previous Top Next

Installing or reinstalling Medlin Software does not move or delete data.

If you are not able to locate your data, try the following

Search your computer for all locations which may contain Medlin Software data:

Click the Medlin Software shortcut on your desktop.

Click 'Search for Data'.  (Located near the top of the menu program's screen.)

Select the desired drive - Start with 'C'.

Once the search is finished, print the list.

Try each of the folders in the list by opening the Medlin program, clicking File, then using the Change Data Folder function to try each of the folders.

If you have more than one hard drive, you can search the additional drives as well.

Restore Data

If you have your own backups, made using the 'Backup Data' function in the Medlin Software, try restoring from your backups by using the 'Restore Data' function in Medlin Software.

Search for Backups

You can have the software search to see if there are any folders which may contain Medlin backup data.

Print the list, and try restoring from each folder in the list.

Restore from Auto Backup

Try using the 'Restore from Auto Backup' function.

The Auto Backup files are mainly for a power outage, but may also work in the case of data which was deleted or not included in a third party backup process.

NOTES

If you are in a situation where a third party (such as a computer repair person) has altered your computer or moved you to a new computer, first reinstall the Medlin Software programs you are using.

Medlin Software does not send backups to the 'cloud' for you.
