Export Data for TRAMS

Previous Top Next

Coming soon. The following is subject to change.

The file created is a tab delimited file, which can be read using the TRAMS import function. (TRAMS is software used by travel agencies.)

Since Medlin Payroll has more deduction and income fields than tracked in TRAMS, some of the fields in Medlin, if used, will be combined into one TRAMS field.

Not presently used by TRAMS. Only needed if an employee earns over $200,000 in a year.

Notes - From our limited testing in TRAMS

Medlin Payroll handles employee (payroll) data/payments/reporting only. To pay non employees, use TRAMS directly.

It appears TRAMS assumes the emplyoer and employee Medicare liability is always the same. This is NOT true once an emplyoee earns over $200k in a year. If you have any employee who has earned over $200k in a year, after importing into TRAMS, make some sort of manual adjustment, in TRAMS, to lower the employer Medicare liability as needed. Use the Medlin Payroll Tax Summary report to see an accurate total of the liabiliities.

The image below is our recommendation for setup within TRAMS. We cannot help with specific TRAMS setup as to how to post your payroll costs - that is a bookkeeping decision the employer must make.
